CNN Several agencies reacted on Friday on an explosion at a aviation manufacturing plant in Wichita, Kansas, said a spokesman of the Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office to CNN.
The explosion took place at Beechcraft’s Plant 3, a spokesman from the Wichita Mayor Jeff Longwell said to CNN. The plant is closed for the holidays and officials hope that the injuries will be minimal, the spokesman said.
It is too early to know the full extent of the damage or the cause of the explosion, the spokesman of the mayor said.
The Office of the Sheriff of Sedgwick helps with the traffic, said Jaime Kleman, spokesperson of the sheriff. Wichita Fire and Sedgwick Fire are both on scene.
Beechcraft, owned by Textron Aviation, manufactures planes with single cars and ankle motors.
