The title of Vikram’s upcoming film with director Ajay Gnanamuthu was unveiled on Wednesday. The film has the title Cobra. The title poster contains two cobras that protect a crown. The director keeps cards very close to its chest and reveals no details about the character of Vikram or the genre of the film.
Ajay takes up the film in multiple languages, simultaneously in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi. The director therefore chose a title that could be common for all the three versions. The filming was underway in Chennai, and according to reports, approximately 50 percent of the shootout was completed. After completing the Chennai schedule, the film staff will fly to Europe. And a few important passages will also be shot in Russia.
Cobra is the third director outing of Ajay after dismantling Colony (2015) and Imaikkaa Nodigal (2018). And he is mounting the coming film on a large scale. The film is sponsored by 7 Screen Studio and the Oscar winner AR Rahman is the beginning to obtain music for the film.
Vikram will be seen according to reports in more than 20 blocks in the film. And the first appearance that revealed his character appearance is expected to be released in January 2020.
Vikram also joins the director Mani Ratnam’s upcoming film Ponniyin Selvan next. The fantasy drama, which is considered the most ambitious film of the director, is soon on the floor.
