Croger stores in Greater Cincinnati, including North Kentucky and Dayton, are back online and are able to accept credit cards, a Kroger official confirmed after 2 p.m. Tuesday.
About an hour later, Kroger released the statement countrywide:0 “Our stores are open – accepting all kinds of payments, including credit and debit cards – for customers, whether they’re completing their inventory or putting the last touch on their holiday meals.0 “
For about an hour of the afternoon, Twitter was flying with memories and comments from troubled shoppers about Crogar stores the day before Christmas.
According to online users, all registers were down and could not accept payment from the card. Customers had to pay in cash till the problem was solved. The shopkeeper could not even buy gift cards with cash.
